I am planning to spend a week vacation in a resort in Cabo. Can I bring some Indian spices and rice to cook in the resort .. is there any custom restriction in the airport ?

I understand I can rent a house with a cook and housekeeper complete with weekly groceries and utilities paid monthly for less than $300 a month.

don’t want a feminist one like here in the U.S but a traditional one. Also, I’m interested in mexican culture, food, ans so. For marriage, by traditional I mean: one that cooks, supports me, pleases me and wants to have children and takes care of home, at the same time I’d treat her like a queen.

The Hispanic Culture brought us Tex-Mex and Tex-Mex certainly has rural roots in West Texas/Northern New Mexico. So why not Southern Rural claim “Ethnic Cuisine” status. And please ……have fun if you are insecure……but I would prefer serious thoughtful answers.
Marquie the two are not different but in name only. Collar greens and hot water corn bread are cooked the same way in Southern Cooking and in Soul Food as is Fried Chicken. To paraphrase Sharespear…..Southern Cooking/Soul Food by any other name would taste just as good.
Over druged the Spanish were in North America 100 years before the first Englishmen/Frenchmen/African Americans came here.

Mom and I are travelling to Mexico in March and she’s taking a Cooking Class with the Cruise Ship. (It will be an off-shore excursion)

She’s cooking with raw vegetables and she wants to know what to do to avoid getting any Hepetitis Sickness? (Besides taking the vaccines as they are too expensive)

And we called Mexico, they said the water down there is just as clean as the water in Canada, but then some people say not to drink the water.

We’re visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta.

Tonight is my work’s Christmas party. One of the cooks is leaving for Mexico to raise his daughter and be with his wife. I have him for our “secret Santa” thing. What’s a good gift for his daughter that is, like, an American custom? To represent the U.S.?
Also, what would be a sentimental gift for him? Any ideas?

Are they as clean and precautious for health and food safety as the ones in the United States? Ie do they wash their hands often, do they cook the food to temperature, do they hire decently clean people? I know this probably sounds horrible but I am very germaphobic and can hardly eat at the ones here. I will be going soon and need to know if I need to bring my own food.
