Ok. It is going around about a new cooking shortcut site that has recipes from the southwest, italy, and mexico and they heard on a blog that it was going to have recipes from all over the world. My mom and grandma are going to a trout cook off and can’t think of a name. My mom is a new grandma and very proud of it so they kinda wanna incorporate that in the name. They are also from new Mexico and cooking with a lot of Mexican spices. All ideas are appreciated! If you have a good idea but it doesn’t include grandma please tell us anyways. Thanks!!

My husband is Mexican and right now we live in Hawaii. I would love for my 2 young daughters to speak Spanish fluently and learn their Mexican culture too. My only concern is financial stability. I heard laundry mats are good to open. Or possibly a restaurant because my husband can cook very well. What other small businesses are good to open?

I had a debate with my friend about whether sour cream is used in authentic Mexican cuisine. I understand crema Mexicana is different but would you find it in Mexican restaurants in Mexico? He claims that the idea of a cream based topping is a product of Tex-Mex cuisine. Any insight, especially from my Mexican brethren would be appreciated.

I am travelling officially to Toluca, Mexico end of next week for two months. I am a vegetarian and I can’t cook. Where in Toluca city I can find a good vegetarian restaurant? I don’t eat eggs or seafood as well. Is there any Subway chain there? Please help me & do give some tips to stay healthy in Toluca.

I recently started waiting tables at a restaurant where almost all of the back of the house people (i.e. dishwashers, bussers and cooks) are Mexican. I can speak a little Spanish and have been really interested in hearing their stories about what their life is like here, why they decided to move here, what they miss about Mexico, etc. Anyway, I’m thinking about writing my honors thesis next semester on Mexican immigrants in North Carolina, but I don’t know specifically what to write about. So, do you have any ideas? I would love to hear the opinion of Mexicans specifically. Thanks!
